Walking animations - Photoshop

 

What were you asked to do?

For this task we were asked to create a walking gif whilst drawing it free handed on a Wacom. 

What did you do?

For this task I went ahead and followed the steps on the whiteboard. Starting off by creating each layer with a specific name for each movement that was shown on the white board. After that I drew the movements on each of the layers with a Wacom as it doesn't have to be neat.

What was the hardest task?

The hardest part for me was in fact its leg positions. Reason being is that when the legs are very close together, it was a bit hard to make the furthest leg look as if it is behind the leg in front.

How successful were you?

As the task was to just show that we are able to create an animation of a character walking I believe it was successful overall as it didn't have to look amazing as long as the character walks.

What would you do differently next time?

Next time if there was an option to make it smoother then more layers would of been required instead of making it look choppy.
